Minus his knapsack.
Just where he
After the first shock, then anger (why did he turn his back on the luggage cart???!!!), I calmed down so that when he got in (after the extra time spent with airport police filing report, etc) I was able to commiserate and give him a comfort hug — after all, he was the one who went through the shock of finding that all his special goodies were gone, suffered the hassle of the aftermath, AND had just spent 14 hours-plus travelling.
Up until now our airport has had no, or not notorius, problems with luggage being stolen in the lobby.
Guess we've now been bumped up to The Big Boys Airports.
My tennis shoes and sweater did get back from their extended holiday in Germany, though.
I'm so happy to see them! And the dear soul who went after the bus company, found and kept The Lost Ones all this time, also sent me three Butzelmann stoneware bottles!!!
Wha...? What... are... bootselmuhnnnn stoneware bottles???
At the Flower Show in Hemmer, or on some other occasion with the girls, the subject of bitter digestive drinks came up. Probably someone with an upset tummy. So, Christa, the dear soul, mentions Butzelmann, a "herb liqueur" from the region, and that it comes in a stoneware bottle, at which bit of info I probably had one my enthusiasm freak-outs.
So, when she emails me that tennies&sweater are safe and sound and in her office, she also mentions that she has gathered some empty bottles for me!
And dear, dear, dear Hubby has actually loaded down his cases with them and brought them back!
He truly loves me!
When unpacked, I loved the bottles. And three of them, which makes up a good number for display.
They still have their labels on, which I'm a bit sad of taking off, as there is a cute little man/gnome on them wearing something that suspiciously looks like potato shoes!
(ok, I admit it: I have a "cute" addiction...)
I made a collage with some images I got from the web, as no camera to show mine. (a tear shed for the dearly departed)
